## Supported Brother Printers

Below are the Brother printer models that are supported for badge printing.

1. QL-820NWB
2. QL720NW
3. QL-1110NWB (only supported for Check-in App on iOS devices)

**Remark**

1. When using the Check-in App on Android device, the printer QL-1110NWB will not be found, as it is only compatible with Check-in App on iOS device.

## Supported WiFi Frequency

1. Only 2.4GHz is supported

## Recommended WiFi Speed

1. For check-in and namebadge printing, the recommended WiFi speed is 50Mbps.

### Connect printer with wired LAN network (Recommended Way)

It is highly recommended to connect the printer using a wired LAN network with a 4G/5G router for a more stable network connection. The diagram shows the hardware setup.\

3. Double check the status. No WiFi logo should be on the top right corner.\

4. For troubleshooting, you can print out the printer network configuration. Print Configuration -> All. The correct configuration should be\

5. On the iPad Check-in App, select and connect the printer and test print.\

### Connect printer with wireless network

1. Press the power button to turn on the printer. Make sure the green status light comes on.
2. Press the \[Menu] button to view the main menu.
3. Use the \[▲] and \[▼] buttons to scroll and select WLAN > WLAN (On/Off) > On in the settings menu. Press \[OK].
4. Use the \[▲] and \[▼] buttons to select WLAN > Infra Manual Setting in your settings menu. Click \[OK]. The printer will then search for available Wi-Fi networks.
5. Note: Your printer and iPad will need to be on the same SSID Wireless network.
6. Using the \[▲] and \[▼] buttons, select your desired network and then click OK.
7. Input your password following these steps: Looking at the top right of the screen, you can click \[Menu] to change between inputting uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Then use the \[▲] and \[▼] buttons to select the correct characters.
8. If it has successfully connected, it will read “Connected!” Then press \[OK].
9. If it reads that it did not connect, continue to repeat steps 9 through 11 until successful. STEP 7: To return to the main screen, click the \[↩] button.
10. You should then see the Wi-Fi icon in the top right-hand corner.
11. **Connect iPad with same pocket wifi network**
12. On your iPad, go to iPad "setting"
13. Click "wifi", and ensure you are connected to the same pocket wifi network as Step 1-4
14. **Connect iPad - Check in App with the printer**
15. Login to check in App, and click into the correct Event
16. Click "Setting" icon on upper right hand corner. Scroll down the menu bar and click "Select Printer"
17. Check if the printer is connecting to the correct pocket wifi, if yes, press "Next"
18. Ensure it is choosing the correct printer, if yes, press "Next"
19. Press "Print" and label should be printed on the printer you assigned

#### **Remarks**

1. If failure on step 11 or step 12, meaning the connection is not correctly done. Please start from Step 1 again to retry
2. If all the settings are correctly done from Step 1-12), and only the label cannot print out, check to ensure correct label size is used
3. The printer will only print if the screen is in homepage (not under any setting page)

### Troubleshooting Steps

If there are any issues connecting the iPad to printer, please perform the following checks first.

1. Check if the 4G Router is able to connect to the internet.
2. Connect your iPad to the 4G Router, and browse <https://apple.com> to confirm the 4G Router is able to access the internet.
3. Check if the iPad is able to connect to the printer using the internal network
4. You should able to access the Brother Printer Admin Page by accessing the IP address of the printer on Safari. If you are not able to access this page from your iPad, that means the Router is blocking the direct connection between the internal network within the Router.\
