# Session Check-In with EventX Handheld Scanner

## Steps to impletment

1. **Connect Device to EventX handheld Scanner**:
2. Ensure your Android device is paired with the EventX scanner.\

3. **Turn on Add-On Handheld Device**:
4. ​In the EventX check-in app, activate the handheld device mode. Navigate to setting, then enable “add-on Handheld Device”. This step switches the default QR code scanner from the phone's camera to the Bluetooth handheld scanner\

5. **Use the Buttons on Your EventX Scanner**:
6. Choose if you want to check in or out first.
7. Align the scanner with the QR code, then click the button on the scanner.\
