# Registration form 1.0 vs 2.0

## EventX offers two registration system options:

### Registration Platform Version 1.0

1. Legacy system
2. More limited in terms of features and customization
3. Supports basic event registration needs
4. Fewer integrated third-party apps and add-ons

### Registration Platform Version 2.0

1. Newly launched modern registration system
2. Provides expanded features and personalization
3. Additional functionality like custom fields etc.
4. Seamless integration with third-party tools and EventX ecosystem
5. Built on latest tech stack allowing for scalability

The registration platform 2.0 is our newest and most advanced system. It offers greater flexibility, robust features, and integration capabilities compared to the legacy 1.0 platform.

### Comparison for the 1.0 vs 2.0 platform

| RSVP | Yes | Yes |
| Logical questions | Yes | Yes |
| Check-in App support | Manual data sync needed | Automatic |
| Maintenance and long term support | Limited support, only security patches | On-going support |

## **Benefits of the 2.0 platform**

1. More robust and tready event registration flow
2. [Simplified registration flow](https://help.eventx.io/portal/en/kb/articles/event-registration-form-flow). No account registration step needed for normal event registration.
3. No need for further data sync, for Check-in App. If using the 1.0 registration form, there will be a data sync step that needs to be done to make the data available on our 2.0 Check-in App. This is a time consuming and complicated step.
4. More robust RSVP and logical questions flow supported
5. Ongoing long term support and maintenance
